Austria beat Ghana Black Stars in a friendly game ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Vienna on Friday.
Marcel Sabitzer converted from the spot for the first goal for the home team. Michael Gregoritsch doubled Austria’s lead against Ghana to make it 2-0.

The first goal scorer of the game became a provider for Gregoric to get another goal to solidify their lead.
Stefan Posch got on the scoresheet as Austria extended their lead to make it three.

In the 77th minute, skipper of Ghana, Jordan Ayew pulled one back to make the scores 3-1 but the Austrians rather doubled their efforts to make 4-1 through Carney Chukwuemeka, then Nicolas Seiwald got the last goal of the match
For Austria to beat Ghana 5-1 is not a good result for the African side that want to win the FIFA World Cup.

Ghana must do their home work very well before facing the stronger German side on Monday.

Ghana has another friendly against Wales and Mexico before the World Cup starts.
Coach Otto Addo must select the right players and fix them at their correct positions.
