WBA Africa Light heavyweight champion, Jonathan Tetteh aka ‘Worldwide’ spoiled what was going to be one of the best public appearances by Ghanaian boxers at the Gbese Mantse palace frontage on Wednesday evening when he decided to desend the stage and go home.

He seemed not to be able to contain the pressure of fans going against him and missed the opportunity of marketing his much anticipated rematch against Freezy Macbones aka Seth Gyimah in Kumasi.
His unsportsmanlike behaviour cut the promoters surprised and bewildered.

The crowd had arrived in numbers indicating how the people of Ga Mashie, Akoto Lante. Ardedenkpo, Jamestown, Bukom, Gbese, Atukpai and other suburbs of Accra love boxing.
Old men and women, pretty young ladies and guys were present to show love to their favourite boxers, but Worldwide spoilt the show when he was to take a picture with Freezy Macbones rather he refused and jumped down and vanished in the crowd.

However the promoters apologised to the fans and hinted there are other interesting events ahead of the bill, such as a press conference and public show before April 5, 2026 at the Laboma Beach Resort where the Resurrection Fight Night would be held.
Barrister Valentine, a member of RBS Promotions promised that subsequent programmes would be much inspiring to attract fans to come to the venue.

According to co promoter Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, CEO of Box Office Promotions, the bout between Freezy Macbones and Jonathan Tetteh is being planned for Kumasi in August and Abdul Aziz Quartey will face Jamil Animashaun after fighting Jonathan Tetteh for the national light heavyweight title before he can get the opportunity to face Freezy Macbones who already has the opportunity for a return bout with Tetteh for the WBA Africa Light heavyweight Championship.

Freezy Macbones hailed the massive attendance and the love Ga people have for boxing but he promised that Kumasi would be different and much bigger because he is going to dance like a king in August.
He was amazed to feel the presence of his fans.
Other boxers like Emmanuel Quartey from the Bronx Boxing Club, Benjamin Lamptey, Alfred Lamptey, Godwin Tetteh, Joseph Commey and Abigail Quartey spoke about their expectations. Nana Adjei Clinton will take on Agoe Ashong for the PST Tanzania Cruiserweight title.

RBS Promotions and Box Office Promotions have lined up a memorable package for the boxers to realise the dream of CEO Dr. Albert Tetteh Botchway that Ghana must get a world champion by 2028.
Known as the new Don King. Dr. Botchway believes the Laboma Beach Resort can offer refreshed business, tourism and sports to the Ghanaian entertainment and leisure industry.
