Global sportswear brand PUMA staged a street-level unveiling of its 2026 FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) World Cup kits for 11 nations in New York City on Thursday, March 19, placing Africa at the centre of its most ambitious international football campaign to date.
The event, held at Domino Square, marked the first public showing of PUMA’s full national team kit range ahead of the tournament this summer. Rather than opting for a stadium or cinematic launch, PUMA chose to reveal the kits in play, worn first by local community players from each participating nation on the streets of New York.

Four continents are represented across the 11 nations: Portugal, Morocco, Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria, and Egypt. The lineup confirms PUMA’s position as the kit supplier with the most prominent African representation heading into the tournament, with five partner federations on the continent — Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and Egypt — all featured.Ghana Business News

Football legends Ricardo Quaresma, Asamoah Gyan, and El Hadji Diouf attended as representatives of Portugal, Ghana, and Senegal respectively, bridging generations of the sport at the event. Ghanaian artist Black Sherif delivered a live performance, adding a distinct cultural dimension to the occasion.
PUMA Vice President of Global Brand Marketing Nadia Kokni said the event was built on connecting with fan communities in the places that matter most to them, with local players given the chance to experience the new kits before anyone else.

The full 2026 collection goes on sale from March 24 and features ULTRAWEAVE technology and dryCELL fabric across all jerseys, while replica kits are produced using PUMA’s RE:FIBRE initiative as part of the brand’s commitment to responsible product innovation.
Ghana’s Black Stars, drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, open their World Cup campaign on June 17 against Panama in Toronto.
