Ranked #10 in the world Joseph Awinongya Jr Blue) fighting for the United States of America faced the #1 in the world Turabek Kabibullaev (red) at a recent international event in Bulgaria and did very well.
Jojo, an American born of Ghanaian parents is just glad that he got a medal as one of the boxers who climbed the podium and thanked all who have supported him.

Now on the Elite High Performance team, the challenge is now bigger and he is grateful for all the support.
In Bulgaria, he placed third, but believes it is good because he is young and coming up.

He was the. ranked #10 in the world, but Joseph Awinongya Jr has been able to face the #1 in the world Turabek Kabibullaev and learnt a lot.

His dad / coach also feels it is a gradual process to reach the top and dine with the bigger boys and he is there now.
