The Cape Coast Super Zonals was action packed, with the jama, intense races and celebrations dominating the headlines in the two-day event.
After the event concluded, Mfantsipim won the boys division for the fourth consecutive time and Efutu won the girls division for the first time in their history.
Some multiple athletes who competed and have gathered four promising athletes for the future.

Joseph Andoh Kwofie (Mfantsipim)
It would have been a travesty if his name was excluded. The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the best sprinters Cape Coast has ever seen, breaking the 100m and 200m records in 2023, and 2024. He didn’t disappoint in the 2025 edition, helping his school to finish first in the 100m, 200m, 4*100m, 4*200m and 4*400m events.
Kwofie is a final year student and is expected to transition to the University in a few months. His presence and Cristiano Ronaldo Celebrations will be sorely missed.
Jonathan Nkrumah (Mfantsipim)
The boy from Cape Coast was adjudged this edition’s best athlete and for good reason. He equaled the 110m hurdles record at 14.5 seconds, won the 400m with 48.7 and finished second in the 200m while competing alongside Andoh in the relays.
Jonathan is looking like the next poster boy of Mfantsipim.

Portia Nkrumah (Edinaman SHS)
Although Edinaman lost the title to Efutu, they competed well thanks to the presence of Portia Nkrumah. Nkrumah won the 200m, won the 400m and finished second in the 800m.
She was rightly named best girls athlete in the competition.
Believe Dufe Makafui (Efutu SHS)
Following closely behind to Portia is Believe who could had a good chance of earning the girls best athlete gong. She broke the girls 100m hurdles record with a time of 14.8 seconds. She also finished second in the 200m final while helping Efutu in the relays
