Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo has described his colleagues as a special squad who will surprise Ghanaians and the world.
He told one of the journalists at the World Cup that when no one believed in the team, he thought otherwise and believes they are going to shock football fans and reach far in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Manchester City top player who was voted by FIFA as Player of the match against Panama thinks the technical direction is right on and the players are wonderful, the problem is always the opposition, the teams they face who are also very well prepared and with equally good or better players.
It is the time Ghanaians unite and rally behind the team, as they watch the matches critically and not discomfort or discourage players.
The 2026 Black Stars were selected at a late moment, even the coach came in late, but he has changed the mentality of the team in general.

Coach Carlos Queiroz is a father figure who is full of knowledge and wisdom. He really knows the game of football and at the highest level such as the World Cup, he is a master. His assistants, John Paintsil and Fatau Daudu have been players at the World Cup before so they also share their experience and lessons learnt from previous mistakes.
Skipper Andre Ayew has already set record with the most caps and he is still going strong. His assistants Thomas Partey and Gideon Mensah are also in leadership roles.
However others like Inaki Williams, Baba Rahman, Kwesi Sibo and Benjamin Asare are also leaders at their clubs so they all bring on board knowledge, skills and power the team.

The young guys like Marvin Senaya, Caleb Yirenkyi, Ernest Nuamah, Jonas Adjetey, Jerome Opoku, Fatawu Issahaku, Prince Adu, Brandon Thomas Asante Abdul Munin, Chris Bonsu Baah have the flair and are ready to infuse to the final.
This team is indeed different, they fight, they attack and they defend, they can also do whatever they like with the ball.

The FIFA World Cup is a competition to make name and record.
Watch out for the special squad, a country called Ghana.
