Experienced boxing consultant Yoofi Boham has tipped Theophilus Allotey, Daniel Gorsh, John Laryea and Samuel Takyi, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medalist for world boxing titles if they are managed and directed well.
Speaking to Yours Truly in an exclusive interview, he said Ghana has many potential boxing champions but he believes these four can make Ghana proud in the near future.

He said Ghana Boxing should be better than its current standard and status because the boxers and managers are doing their best, but the politics in world boxing is not a joke.
He urged the promoters and matchmakers to work harder to bring international programmes to Ghana and that can be another platform to showcase the nation’s potential champions.

He commended promoters like Box Office, Bishop Boxing Promotions and Legacy Rise Sports Promotions for their good works and prayed that within the period that he mentioned Ghana can get a new world champion.
Two of his tips were on show last weekend and they delivered marvelously.
Theophilus Kpakpo Allotey beat Jonas Erastus from Namibia to retain his WBO Global title and added the WBA Africa Gold Super Flyweight title, while John Laryea aka Expensive Boxer also stopped Namalambo to retain his WBA Africa Featherweight belt.

Hard hitting Daniel Gorsh and Olympian Samuel Takyi are preparing to hit the headlines strongly soon.
Aside the tips of Boham, other young boxers like John Zile, Joseph Commey, Alfred Lamptey, Micheal Abban, Jerry Lartey, Charles Tetteh and Ahmed Abdula are names on the lips of boxing fans who can make Ghana proud.
Meanwhile Yoofi Boham who was very instrumental in the successes of Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, late Alfred Kotey and Isaac Dogboe has urged boxing managers and other stakeholders to be truthful and not be money conscious, but work had to achieve something.
He hailed the spreading of boxing to other places like Laboma, Keta, Kwahu and Kumasi where a big bout is expected between Jonathan Tetteh aka Worldwide and Freezy Macbones aka Seth Gyimah.

Mr. Yoofi Boham revealed that the new national amateur team can also win medals at international meets like the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Scotland and 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.
He said the government must invest into boxing and allow the boxers to engage in tournaments to keep them conditioned and ready.
