Ghana’s unexposed but darling boxer, Holy Dorgbetor aka ‘The Jaw Breaker’ has disclosed that his trip to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for the WBC Boxing Grand Prix was very inspiring, educative and a big exposure and motivation.
Speaking to Yours Truly in an exclusive interview on Omashi TV, The Big Fight Night last Friday, he commended the media station as the only media outlet to talk about the event which was very big and involved several countries and boxers.
“It was my first time to travel outside Ghana and I learnt at lot. I saw that the foreign boxers are very fast

but we depend on power, also the media display is fantastic” he said. Dorgbetor (14-0-1) the IBF Africa Featherweight Champion who is undefeated was the only Ghanaian boxer who qualified to the next round after beating his Ukraine challenge. Oleksandr Solomennikov at the WBC Grand Prix in Riyadh.
“It was a great experience and Iwill go in better in June and pray to reach the final” he stated. Holy Dorgbetor 25 trains under Coach Laryea aka Lion at The Gym in Accra, behind Enterprise Insurance.

He always say his dream is to become a world champion and make the people of Volta Region proud again. Out of five boxers who represented Ghana at the 2025 WBC Boxing Grand Prix, he was the only one who fought at the round of 32 and won in the Featherweight division.
The other boxers who could not qualify are Shakul Samed Samuel Quaye and Enoch Tettey Tetteh who lost their bouts. Gabriel Coffie was put on standby to fight in the next edition.

The WBC Grand Prix is another programme to expose boxers and identify the best pound and round for round. Holy Dorgbetor thanked his management, Ace Power Promotions for their support and his coach as well as the fans and media who support him.
