Michael Nii Yarboi Annan (aka The DON) is sponsoring a group of talented athletes of Ghana Weightlifting Federation to compete in the African Junior and Senior qualification tournaments in Mauritius.
Michael Nii Yarboi Annan understands the challenges they faced such as limited resources, lack of funding, and the pressure of expectations.
He had seen their devotion firsthand, often visiting the gyms and training facilities to offer motivation and support. The day of departure arrived, the athletes gathered at the airport, their hearts racing with anticipation.
This is what the GWF had lacked over the years but today there is a man to provide that all in important support for our weightlifters.
Michael arrived with a warm smile, “Today, you are not just representing yourselves; you are representing Ghana,” he reminded them. This act of support will ignite a passion that will propel them forward, ensuring that the future of weightlifting in Ghana is bright and full of promise.
