Lartey received medical attention in the dressing room after getting stopped in round 2 by Deontae Pettigrew in their WBA World Continental title heavyweight fight Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Rockford, Illinois, defeat number 7 in his last 9 fights.

Before the fight he has won on April 24, 2024 against Andrzej Wawrzyk at The Dome at the Ballpark, Rosemont and on September 23, 2024 against Ibrahim Labaran in Accra, Ghana.
