Siblings Projects Donates To Support Families Of Children with Disabilities

A generous donation of 24.000 Ghana cedis was given on March 3, 2025, to support the lives of eight families in Klefe and Akoefe, as part of a new initiative designed to assist families with children who have disabilities.

This donation is part of the Siblings Projects, which provides seed funding to families raising children who face challenges due to various disabilities. The families selected for the program will receive much-needed financial assistance to help them navigate the unique challenges of raising children with disabilities. This funding is intended to alleviate the financial burdens associated with specialized care, therapy, and other essential services.

Freda Cooper, the founder and project manager of the Siblings Projects, expressed her excitement about the initiative:

“We are thrilled to offer this support through the Siblings Projects, which recognizes the diverse and individual needs of families raising children with disabilities,” she said. “By providing seed funding, we are not only easing financial strain but also ensuring that families have the resources they need to create a positive, supportive environment for their children to thrive.”

The Siblings Project aims to address the additional challenges that families of children with disabilities face, from managing specialized educational needs to providing continuous care. Through this donation, the project hopes to empower these families to pursue their goals while ensuring the well-being of their children.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive care and support for families raising children with disabilities. By supporting these families early, the project aims to build a foundation for success and improve the quality of life for these children.
