Two Ghanaian boxers are poised to make history as they compete for the inaugural Prof. Azumah Nelson Champion Emeritus Championship, scheduled to be held at the Aborigine Beach Resort in Keta, Volta Region.
Mr. Mitch Gilbert Woollams, the CEO of Aborigine Promotion, has revealed that this first championship will feature a Super Featherweight bout between Michael Pappoe (32-9-0) and his fellow countryman Ezekiel Annan (11-8-3).
Woollams, who is seen alongside Savior, has assured boxing enthusiasts of an exhilarating and vibrant tournament at the Aborigine Beach Resort.
The event is expected to draw a host of celebrities, including the legendary Prof. Azumah Nelson, who will be present at ringside to witness this momentous occasion.
Furthermore, WABA President Hon. Ky Col Onesmo Alfred McBride is anticipated to return to Ghana, marking his first visit since his tenure as President of IBF in Africa, the Middle East, and the Persian Gulf, to oversee the two WABA Championships.
Notably, the last visit of the WABA President to Ghana occurred at the Aborigine Beach Resort, where he met the late former Ghanaian President, Flight Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Rawlings, who was in attendance during the match featuring Joseph Agbeko.
