Michy (Boxing Fan) Calls For Attractive Bouts And Adequate Security At Boxing Arena

A dedicated boxing enthusiast has appealed to boxing promoters and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) to consider the security and safety of fans and guests who patronise boxing events at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Speaking to Yours Truly on The Big Fight Night on Omashi TV last Friday, Michy as she loves to be called made a passionate appeal to fans who disrupt or put in behaviours that causes abrupt end to fights to stop the unsporting acts.

She said boxing is a sport and an entertainment, like a show, so it must end or conclude on a good sound note.

She said many people want to watch boxing so organisers must make sure they consider the safety of the fans and officials.

“Boxing is an entertainment to me, because it is exciting and action packed. Our boxers are good and doing very well. We need world champions. I commend the promotions, but they must tighten security and allow gentle people only entry into the venue” she said.

Michy who loves music, dancing and singing is a young entrepreneur and operates in business, tourism, leisure, hospitality and entertainment.

She added that boxing is a tourism commodity and Ghana and the boxing investors can reap if they sow on good soil.

Her hobbies are dancing and trading.

Quizzed if she will keep on watching boxing in spite of the violent scenes, she replied positively, and advised promoters to organise events that do not take long and close in the morning.

“I love boxing, it is great entertainment, I appeal to the authorities to maintain discipline and order to make the sport marvelous, we, the ladies Accra love boxing” she expressed.

She commended Omashi TV for promoting traditional values, the Ga language and Boxing, which is the number one sport among the people of Ga Mashie.
