African Women In Sports Association (AWISA) Elective General Assembly in Accra, Ghana

The African Women In Sports Association (AWISA) will hold their fourth annual General Meeting in Accra, Ghana at the M Plaza Hotel from November 7^th to 10.

According to Mrs. Joyce Mahama, president of Women Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG), Ghana was chosen to host the Congress.

The president of AWISA is Madam Sheil Desha, a Namibian and the Vice President is Madam Carol Garoes The Head Office of AWISA is in Namibia

Mrs Mahama said the African Women Sports Association is linked with the AU, ANOCA, IOC, IWG amongst other  International Women’s Sports federations.

“We are expecting over 70 Countries to attend this Congress, also in attendance will be some AU representatives” she said.

WOSPAG, the hosts are affiliated to the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
