Ms Wendy Naa Deide Sampah, CEO of the Wendy Foundation which is dedicated to supporting disability sportsmen and women has congratulated Mr. Samson Deen on his re election as President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana.
She also commended the new board of the NPC Ghana which includes two ladies.
According to Ms Sampah, the inclusion of ladies in the executives is very positive and in the right direction as it does not only enforce gender balance, but encourages and motivates girls and women with disability who love sports and aspire to become administrators.
She urged the NPC to formulate plans and programmes that will involve girls and women participation.
She charged the media to promote disability sports activities and create happiness in the society.
The Wendy Foundation is planning to come up with sports programmes hoping to attract sponsors for the worthy course.
“As a nation, we need to be happy, live healthy in peace, love and unity, we must support each other to build a better Ghana. Sports is very important in making people fit and happy” she expressed.
Ms. Wendy Sampah was one of the winners at the 2024 Women In Sports Association (WISA) Achievers Awards event.
