Wumboriche Noah from Yendi put up a spirited performance in one hour 13 minutes and 10.97 seconds to win the 21km 2024 edition of the Accra Inter City Homowo Marathon which was held last Saturday September 28, 2024.
He took home a gold medal, 8,000.00 ghc and products from sponsors of the event.
Alimatu Iddrisu was the best and fastest female to complete the 21 km, and also took a gold medal, 8,000.00 ghc and sponsors’ products.
IBF Intercontinental featherweight champion, Holy Dorgbetor won the special race for boxers.
Over 500 athletes from across the country took part in the Marathon.
The event commenced at the entrance of the Accra Sports Stadium and ended at the Trust Sports Emporium also called Bukom Boxing Arena. The competition was in five categories, namely; Male 5km race, Female 5km race, Male 21km race, Female 21km race and Boxers category.
