This Is Just The Beginning, Hall Of Fame Is My Target – WBO Africa Bantamweight Champ, Gorsh

Daniel Selassie Gorsh, who won the WBO Africa Bantamweight title after disciplining Grislain Vodounhessi 25-3-0 from Benin says he wants to become a world multi titles winner and be named in the international boxing hall of fame.

Speaking to yours truly in an exclusive interview on The Big Fight Night on Omashi TV, he expressed gratitude to his managers, colleagues and coaches at the Bronx Boxing Gym and Shiatse Promotions together with Legacy Fight Promotions.

Gorsh disclosed that he is his own idol and as an aspiring great boxing champion, he wants other boxers to emulate him.

Now boasting of a record of 13 victories with no defeat, he named his last bout with Vodounhessi at the Bukom Boxing Arena as his toughest bout but it could have been a good show if his opponent had stood to box pound for pound.

Popularly called Emperor Selassie, the budding pugilist said the journey to greatness has just begun and he is going all out to realise the dream of winning world titles.

His trainer, Coach Carl Lokko who has groomed him since age 8 said they are going to move their training to a higher lever and possibly relocate to the USA.

According to Coach Coach, Gorsh needs to move out to train with other world class boxers to sharpen his horizon and techniques.

“We have alerted the WBO on the results of our bout and we hope to be rated in the top 15 in the world, then we will start climbing to the top” he expressed.

He also thanked all members of Team Gorsh in Ghana and USA, Mr. Jacob Zwennes, Mr Peter Nash Quarcoo and L & B Boxing Management Syndicate.
