Ghana Boxing is moving to another level as opportunities are being given to people with disability to exhibite their talents.
Last Saturday witnessed a impressive show by the Ghana Adaptive Boxing Federation who in conjunction with Special Game Masters (SGM) and in collaboration with the Ghana Boxing Authority staged some para boxing demonstration to the amazement of fans at the Bukom Boxing Arena during Week Five of the Ghan Professional Boxing League.
Legendary Azumah Nelson was one of the patrons and special guests at the impressive exhibition.
He congratulated the boxers and urged them to train hard.
Mr. Patrick Johnson, Secretary General of the Federation said they need support and appealed to corporate bodies to support them.
He thanked their partners and promoters, Seven Stars from Poland for their encouragement and motivation.
Mr. Ken Kalai, international relations officer of the federation said they are working hard to get para athletes engage.
“We should include our brothers and sisters with disability in our sports and entertainment events and programmes” he appealed.
