The international bout debut of Wasiru “Gyatabi” Mohammed on Saturday, 21st September at the Telekom Dome in Bonn, Germany against Bishes Barakat has been called off.
Wasiru Mohammed the former national champion and former WBO Africa and WBO Global titleholder expressed sadness and disappointment over the development.
The Prime Fighting Promotion bill would have seen Gyatabi against local favorite Bihes Barakat, but is may be rescheduled to November or December barring any circumstances.
Wasiru Mohammed who bounced back into active boxing after few years into hibernation is coached by Lartekwei Lartey and managed by John Marfo, a member of the GBA Board.
“Wasiru will bounce back from this unfortunate situation and we are looking forward to his next fight in due course God willing” said John Manfo.
“Bihes Barakat is an easy work.I wanted to knock him out and show my fans and the world what I can do, but in all things we give thanks to Almighty Allah, and I will come back better and stronger, Inshallah“ Wasiru expressed.
