The 22-year-old who was one of Ghana’s seven medalists at the 2023 African Games, winning bronze in the flyweight division has turned professional.
2023 African Games bronze medalist Theophilus Allotey and coach Dr Ofori Asare have made the trip to the British Cayman Island for a training camp.
This trip will help sharpen the newly turned Pro flyweight prospect as he will have the chance to train with other elite fighters, Olympians and world-class facilities.
The 22-year-old was one of Ghana’s seven medalists at the 2023 African Games, winning bronze in the flyweight division at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
He also competed in the men’s flyweight event at the 2023 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament, securing bronze after making the semis.
Theophilus will be making his fifth professional appearance at the Professional Leagues in October 2024.
The presence of Black Bombers coach Ofori Asare is expected to keep the young Ghanaian boxer in shape as he embarks on his professional journey.
