The Ghana Boxing Federation board members have held a Productive Meeting with the United Coaches Association of Ghana (UCAG).
The meeting on September 27th 2024 discussed ways to strengthen the sport of boxing in the country, and served as a significant step towards fostering a collaborative relationship between the two organizations.
The GBF board members, led by Bernard Quartey the president, Dauda Fuseni vice president and treasurer Mustapha Nettey engaged in a fruitful discussion with the UCAG representatives, led by Charles Quartey the president of the UCAG and the first vice Lawrence Lokko and other dignitaries.
The meeting focused on identifying areas of common interest and exploring opportunities for joint initiatives. Key topics discussed included:- Coaches’ training and certification programs- Talent identification and development- Competition organization and management- Funding and resource mobilization
Both parties expressed their commitment to working together to promote boxing in Ghana and agreed to establish a joint committee to oversee the implementation of their discussions.
The meeting marked a significant milestone in the development of boxing in Ghana, demonstrating the GBF’s willingness to engage with stakeholders and foster a united front for the sport’s growth.
