The Ghana Professional Boxing League Week 4 will be spiced by Faisal Abubakar who defends his WBO Africa Super Lightweight title against Samuel Opaogum, a Nigerian and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Medalist, Samuel Takyi who returns to the ring on Saturday, August 31, 2024 to continue his professional journey to a world title slot.
“After a long break from the professional ring and winning a gold medal for Ghana at the African Games, I’m back and ready for my 5th pro fight on August 31st, 2024. I’m ready to show the world I never left! Join me at the Bukom Boxing Arena for a night of spectacular boxing. Let’s make history together” said Samuel Takyi also called the Ring Warrior.
Faisal who has been labeled as the Shata Wale of Ghana Boxing urged his fans to come in their numbers to come and see his first defence of the belt he won from a tough Ugandan, Latibu Muwonge.
According to Match Maker Dan Donkor, the night will be thrilling as James Town Boxing Gym comes up against Attoh Quarshie in one of the League’s pairings.
He noted that the League is becoming heated up as clubs and boxers are finding their rhythm.
