Mr. Ivan Bruce Cudjoe has cautioned boxers and urged them to fight well or quit the sport which is also big business and opportunity for fame and fortune.
Addressing a Press Conference on Thursday at the Idrowhyt Events Centre at Dansoman, the CEO of Cabic Promotions and Management said the quality of Ghana Boxing is going down and fading due to some Matchmakers who want to milk from the toils of promoters and boxers, so they stage bouts.
He charged boxers to give off their best or better not come near the ring
“One of these days I will enter the ring to stop bouts that are not pleasant to the eyes of boxing fans” he expressed.
“I want boxers to fight well and earn good money and fame that can affect their families and the nation” he said.
He called on the Ghana Boxing Authority to put its feet down to ensure quality bouts to bring about discipline and fairness.
According to the distinguished event organiser and Travel and Tours operator, he is prepared to support boxers who are ambitious to become world champions.
“I even want winner takes all fights but some boxers are afraid, and I don’t know why” he said.
His outfit Cabic Promotions will organise the second in the series of Big Fight Nights to entertain Patrons and guests at the Idrowhyt Events Centre at Dansoman on Friday September 13, 2024.
The main bout is between Emmanuel Mankatah Sackey and Sunday Adeleye of Nigeria in a super Featherweight contest. Emmanuel Quaye will face Habib Kehinde Giwa in a Welterweight fray while Michael Darko meets Samson Jarah in a Middleweight clash.
Kofi Dana will also face Richard Amenfu in a Welterweight contest.
Other crack and exciting boxers on the show are Jedidiah Doku, Theophilus Lopez Allotey, Emmanuel Mawuli, Jessie Lartey and Elvis Ahorgah aka the Soldier Boxer
Projects / Marketing Manager of Idrowhyt and Cabic Promotions, Mr. Jingles announced the rates for entry as 50ghc for Popular Stand, 100ghc for Ring Side and 200ghc for the VIP Stand.
