Zambian Patrick ‘Baddo’ Chinyemba defeated Ghana’s Theo Allotey in the fourth round of their eight-round scheduled bout for the IBA Africa flyweight title in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Saturday August 17.
However Joseph “Jaguar” Commey also from Ghana beat Sefan Abubeker of Ethiopia.
Disapponted Allotey thanked his fans for the support and well wishes.
“I have had some time to reflect on my actions and inactions. I am well and ready to go out again.
I return to the ring in September 2024 for my 4th Pro fight, details will be announced soon.
Yesterday I felt short, I am disappointed, but I as athlete sometimes you have recognize your limits, retreat and live to fight another day.
I am sorry for any inconvenience/ pained cause team, my fans and supporters.
My goal remains the same (To become a world champion)”.
