Africa Boxing Confederation (AFBC) President Eyassu Berhanu, his Board of Directors and the Ethiopian federation are now putting in the final touches to a mixed grill dish menu to whet the appetite of boxing followers in Africa.

It’s never happened before in Africa but on Saturday, August 17, it will.

Berhanu’s proud moment is finally here as he hosts the popular and prestigious IBA Champions Night for the first time ever on African soil at his home in Addis Ababa.

“This is a historic day for Africa boxing and in my tenure as the President of the African body,” Berhanu told AFBC Communications today in Addis Ababa.

“We’re ready to serve this delicious dish to Africa boxing fans. A big welcome to all our visitors we’re happy to host you and our high ranking IBA guests who have made it happen, we in AFBC thank you so much.”

Zambian Patrick ‘Baddo’ Chinyemba will face Ghana’s Theo Allotey in an eight-round bout for the IBA Africa flyweight title.

Ghana’s Joseph “Jaguar” Commey faces Sefan Abubeker of Ethiopia.
