The Olympic Edition of the Afrobreak National Championship comes off adjacent the Ussher Fort near James Town, Accra on Saturday and Sunday, September 7 and 8, 2024.
According to the organisers, Afro Break Academy (ABA), there would be Dance Battles, Sports Activation, Exhibition and Block Party.
Bboy Lyricx aka Nana Tufour Okai CEO of Afro Break Concepts said the Road to Afrobreak International Championship Africa Finals is also slated for 25 – 27 October 2024.
“Dance fans must know that it is now serious sports business and they must come and see new things for themselves, an Olympic experience of Afrobreak National Championship 2024” said the President of the Breaking Federation in Ghana.
The event dubbed ‘From The Streets to Olympics’ will feature 1 vs 1 Breaking (Bboy & Bgirl), 2 vs 2 Afro – Break – House, 1 vs 1 Kids (Breaking & Afro), Crew vs Crew All style, Power Moves Battle, Skateboard Challenge and BMX demonstration.
Specials guests from neighbouring Togo, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Benin have been invited to grace the event. By Sammy Heywood Okine
