Team Ghana’s Benjamin Azamati Azamati Benjamin 10.08s and Abdul Rasheed Saminu 10.06s have both qualified for the semi-finals of the men’s 100m race. The semi-finals will be held tomorrow, Sunday August 4, 2024 at 6:05pm. Azamati in lane 3, Saminu in lane 8.
Benjamin Azamati made it through to semifinal of men’s 100m after finishing second in heat 1 with a time of 10.08 seconds, 0.08 seconds behind Kishane Thompson of Jamaica who has run the fastest this year.
Abdul-Rasheed Saminu also qualified for the 100m semifinal after finishing third in his heat with a time of 10.06 seconds, behind Kayinsola Ajayi and Marcell Jacobs
It was a great feeling to see Benjamin Azamati smiling after that fabulous run in the 100m heats.
He said at Tokyo 2020, he got out in the heats and now in Paris 2024, he has made it to the semi final so it was an improvement and achievement.
