Any hopes the Nigerian officials had been nursing their boxer would be reinstated after being suspended for a doping offence went up in smoke.
It’s a vicious body blow for the young talented ambitious boxer who was among Africa’s medal prospects in Paris.
Now they have no choice but to take cover as the knee-dip rain is getting heavier by the day for the African boxers in Paris.
