Ghana Athletics President explains why Gadayi was dropped from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

President of Ghana Athletics, Bawa Fuseini has disclosed that Edwin Gadayi’s inability to go for the Olympics Games is a result of a new regulation introduced by the International Olympics Committee.

Edwin Gadayi who was part of the team that qualified for the Olympics Games 4X100 men’s relay event in Bahamas will not be in Paris for the festival.

According to Bawa Fuseini, Gadayi was part of their first list for the Games till the new regulation came.

“It was not our decision to take him out because he was in our first list for the Olympic Games, and we know this will be hard for them.”

“However, we have already spoken to him and he knows he will not be going to the Games,”

Edwin Gadayi won this year’s GNPC Ghana Fasts Huma, before he had won the CAA Regional 100m dash and did well during the 13th African Games.
