Ghana’s 4x100m relay male team beat Nigeria to Gold at the African Senior Athletics Championships in Douala.
Team Ghana anchored by Rasheed saminu run a time of 38.46s to win the heated final.
Ibrahim Fuseini started the race and gave the baton to Isaac Botsio who ran well and gave it to Edwin Gadayi who released to Rasheed Saminu to finish beating Nigeria and Botswana to second and third respectively.
Nigeria won the female edition with Ghana coming second to take the silver medal. The quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Tima Godbless, Olayinka Olajide and Tobi Amusan brought home Gold for the country at the African Championships, clocking a time of 42.76s. They beat Team Ghana and Liberia.
