His name is Ali Yakubu, a sport enthusiast who loves to help kids and youth to discover and develop their talents in sports.
He chose Football and added Surfing because he saw the potential of the kids and the talent in the communities along the beaches of the Central Region.
Yours Truly met Coach Ali Yakubu while working for Captain Andy Sam’s Aspire Football Dreams in Ghana, and since then we have been superb sporting pals. Our relationship goes beyond friendship, and we pray to improve for the best.
Ali Yakubu is a passionate sports personality who believes in hard work, achievement and making the impossible possible.
Through his dedication and commitment, many kids and youth of both sexes have benefited from sports. Football has changed the lives of many people and now he wants to use Surfing as the tool to change the narrative in the historic Central Region.
“The kids love it and we are embarking on a training programme to teach them well” he told Yours Truly about the Surfing Story in Ghana.
Though he has foreign partners, he wants the government, business people, Ministry of Youth & Sports and Ministry of Education to support the vision.
“Surfing is a big sport outside Ghana, but we can do our own thing here to attract tourists and international competition” he said.
Its all about Surf Therapy Programme across the Globe!!
“Only young girl was present during Ali Royals Surf Therapy Lessons, she is 9years old. She is really in love to learn Surfing and become one of the best surfers in Africa so she joined surf lessons any time after school” he noted.
Ali Royals Surf Therapy is looking for Volunteers Surf trainers to come and help and support us to develop our surf kids to become good surfers
Contact Us now if you want to come and help develop and grow Surfing in Ghana!
