The event started from Thursday 29th February and ended on 1st March 2024. Twenty(20) schools showed up namely, Koforidua sectech,Krobo Girlrs’, Akrostec, Suhum Presby, Njuasco, S.D.A shs, Oyoko Methodist shs, St. Roses shs, Larteh Prestech, Pentecost shs, Suhum Sectech, Ghanass shs, Pope Johns shs, Aburi sectech, Koforidua Technical, Islamic Girls’, Prestec Adukrom, Mampong presec, Methodist Girls’ manfe and Oforipanin shs.
The above schools Battled Among themselves to know who wins the Belt.
At the end of the event in the ladies division, first position went to Dede Annan of Akrostech, second position was taken by Atatsi Mary of Oforipanin and Gyemfi Rachael of Akrostech placed third.
In the Boys’ Division, first position was taken by Owusu Eric of Njuasco, second position went to Kelvin Nyantatyi of Pentecost, while third position was taken by Asiama Winfred of Akrostech.
Over 5000 spectators (Students) came to enjoy the event, as dignitaries who came to support and witness included the Regional Director of Education( Mrs Ivy Asankwa Owusu), Headmistress St. Roses( Madam Esi Jackson), Headmistress SDA shs (Madam Naomi), Headmaster KofSectec(Mr Ofori Antwi), Former Headmaster OBOSS( Mr Arthur), Director PE programme( Mr Mike Ayeh), Former PE coordinator Bono Region( Ntow Samuel), Former Central regional sports Development officer( Mr osafo Agyei RTD), Eastern Regional PE coordinator (Mrs Nancy Mensah RTD), Eastern Regional Tug of War Chairman( Mr kofi Sarpong Boateng), Assistant Headmaster pope Johns( Mr Dan kwaku Duplex), Headmaster pope Johns( Rev. Fr. Benjamin Opoku Ohene), Headmistress Krobo Girls’ (Mrs Bernice Mensah Agutey), Headmistress Njuasco(Mrs Georgina Oti Frimpong), Former Headmaster Opass Double as Eastern Regional chairman of CHASS( Mr John kofi Beantey), Assistant Headmistress Nsutam( Mrs Kande Duplex), Board Chairman Koforidua Sectech (Rev. Prof. Charles Ansah) and Islamic Girls’ Headmistress (Mrs Hajia Safia Salifu).
The winning teams were giving medals and trophies. Special awards were giving to some PE teachers, Headmistress and Headmaster’s for promoting sports in the Eastern Region especially PILLOW FIGHT.
The event was supported by Dano milk,Verna,Yomi and Indomie.
The event was organized by Pillow Fight Championship Ghana in collaboration with Ghana Education Service, Eastern Region and Dreamland Sports Plus.
8 Girls and 8 Boys have qualified for PFC CHAMP of CHAMPS.The event was part of the 67th Independence Day celebration.
