The 13th African Games competitions begun on Monday with Samuel Akayede getting a first win for Ghana in table tennis. He registered 3:1 against Sudanese Iddrisu to advance to the next stage of the men’s table tennis singles event.
Ghana’s Cynthia Kwabi also defeated 9 year old Sifa Favour from Kenya by 3:0 to advance to the next stage of the table tennis women’s singles.
Ghana is parading 11 year old Israel Aklie who unfortunately lost his first match.
Nigeria’s sensational Kuti Mathew proved too strong for Ghana’s Israel Aklie in a compelling match during the 13th African Games men’s table tennis singles event. Mathew displayed exceptional skill and dominance, defeating Aklie with a scoreline of 3-0.
Ghana’s Eva Adom-Amankwaa triumphed over Angola’s Isabel Albino to put smiles on the faces of the Loopers.
