… Know Swimmers To Represent Ghana
The Ghana Swimming Association (GSA) is most grateful to President Nana Akufo Addo for investing in the construction of facilities for the 13th African Games which swimming has benefited with the modern aquatics center.
Pesident Madam Delphina Quaye and Treasurer Farida Alhassan were elated when Yours Truly asked them about the new swimming facility.
They were happy that Ghana can host major swimming competitions which would generate the interest of the sport in the country.
Meanwhile, the GSA has presented the provisional list of swimmers for the 13th African Games slated for Ghana from 8th to the 23rd March, 2024.
11 swimmers have been selected to camping, made up of four ladies; Nubia Adjei, Zaira Forson,Unilez Yebowaah Takyi and Joselle Mensah plus seven men including Abeku Jackson,Kow Asafua Jackson, Nicklaus Yeboah, Theodore Asampong Kwaa Jnr, Harry Stacey, Ivan Snowden and Hector Titus Twumasi Ankrah.
The swimmers will be handled by coach Daniel Okyere Opare of UG and Pavel Kutashev. The aquatics events will start from the 9th – 13th March at the Aquatic Center, Borteyman.
