Black Queens Advised To Score More Goals Against Zambia In 2024 Olympic Qualifier

The Black Queens of Ghana who have  two legged qualifiers with the Zambia Copper Queens to determine who represents Africa at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games have been advised to score as many goals in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium and make the return leg a mere formality.

Speaking to various football fans and officials of the GOC, most of them said the Black Queen must not be complacent, but goo all out and score about four or six goals to ensure their qualification.

Ghana has not participated in Olympic football since the Black Meteors failed in 2004, and the current Black Queens under Coach Nora have shown that thee is some hope.

They have won all other qualifying matches and are prepared to go for the kill against the Copper Queens.

The President of rhe Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah said it would be great for Ghana to represent in football with the Queens who have displayed quite well over the months.

Mr. Isaac Duah CDM of Team Ghana to Paris 2024 said the qualification of the Queens will give opportunity to fans to be in Paris, France to cheer them at the Games.

Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Communications Director of the GOC says Ghana Football  has not sank as some people think because Fustal, Black Queens and Beach Soccer are doing well despite low investment and low motivation for the players.

He said the Black Queens have to beat Zambia home and away to show that Ghana Football is not down.

Mr. Sammy Heywood Okine, the Deputy Communications Director who was Press Attache for Team Ghana at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo said the Black Queens are capable and he was optimistic they will beat Zambia by more than three goals and go to Zambia and win other there.
