Ghanaian cyclists are training to get ready for the 13th African African Games dubbed Accra 2023 which starts from March 8th to 23rd, 2024.
According to the cyclists, pain is a part of cycling life. “You won’t succeed if you can’t manage it; the going gets faster, not easier.By staying at home, you cannot improve. You have to go where the fast men are if you want to get faster” they said on their social media platform.
Mr. Shaban Mohamed, Secretary General of the Ghana Cycling Association is optimistic that the Ghanaian cyclists who have sacrified a lot will excel.
He commended the timely intervention of the LOC and Ministry of Youth & Sports in aiding the cyclists to train for the Games.
All top cyclists all over Ghana have been invited to justify their selection to represent the nation.
According to the PRO of Ghana Cycling, Mr. Dennis Moore, the event at the African Games will take place at Ablekuma Olebu Vicolis Area.
He said countries like the best in Africa Eritrea, Morocco, Algeria and Burkina Faso, the best in West Africa are some of the countries with very good cyclists who will give the Ghanaian stiff challenge.
