Freezy Macbones who represented Ghana at the African Olympic Qualifiers in Dakar and lost had an amazing night on December 23. It was the first time he was fighting in front of his home fans and he did it in style with a barrage of unanswered punches to his opponent.
He was too much for Nigerian Oladimeji Salami (6-1, 2 KOs) who was a last minute sub for the original opponent who beat him in Dakar.
“First I would like to thank all the fans for all their support and great vibes last night.
It was an honour to fight and get the Win in front of such an electrifying crowd in my motherland Ghana.
This was our first bout under my promotional company @macbonespromotions and I’m proud to say we put on a spectacle at the famous Bukom Boxing Arena. A big thank you to the whole Macbones Promotions team, the GBF & GBA for executing an all round successful boxing event!
I also, want say a big respect to my opponent for stepping in last minute and keeping our show alive. Also, a big respect and congratulations to all the undercard boxers, artists, production team and our matchmaker. You are all winners and put on great performances!
A huge shout out and thank you to his excellency John Mahama & all dignitaries for coming down to show continuous support for our beloved sport
