The draw for the first round of the MTN FA Cup campaign has been held to pave the way for the official commencement of the exciting fixtures.
The draw for the preliminary round of the domestic cup competition was held at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, October 24.
At the end of the draw, clubs were zoned regionally and based on proximity, resulting in a number of local derbies at various match venues.
In a communique today, the Ghana FA has announced that the first round of the games will be played from Friday, October 27 to Monday, October, 30.
The first round of the games will see a renewal of rivalries when Wa Suntaa takes on local Maana in Wa, Steadfast vs Tamale City in Tamale, Okwawu United vs Kotoku Royals FC in Akim Tafo, Asekem FC vs King Faisal in Beposo amongst others.
Meanwhile, the winners from this round of the competition will join the 18 Premier League Clubs for the Round of 64.
