Borteyman Sports Complex Progressing Steadily – Can It Be Ready For The 13th African Games?

Ghana is building an amazing sports complex at Borteyman, which is behind east legon and around what is called ‘school junction’, which will be part of the infrastructure for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023 that will be held from the 8th of March to the 23rd of March 2024, featuring all 55 African Country’s competing in 22 sports disciplines, what is being called the Olympic games of Africa! University of Ghana will host they other disciplines and construction is also ongoing positively.

This new sports complex at Borteyman, will have a world class certified aquatic Center with a main competition and warm up pools, 2 huge internationally certified multi purpose domes for indoor sports and certified world class tennis courts WITH a covered center court that seats a thousand people, so Ghana will be able to host major international competitions in Ghana.

There will also be an athletics oval and a football pitch and unlike other edifices when Country’s host BIG sporting events, as part of the Presidents legacy, all this will be transformed into a University of Sport(not sports) for development(Google), the 2nd of its kind on the African continent with the only one in South Africa.

This center can also be used for international camping for Soccer clubs when their leagues end in preparation for the upcoming season amongst others……

The Local Organizing Committee(LOC) have been assured by the contractors that EVERYTHING will be completed and handed over by December 2023 so we will be able to test them between January and March 2024 before the games.

A 4 lane road has begun from school junction to the motorway, 9 kilometers of road and this will open up the entire area when completed, this is almost 67% done and those of you that have been there can testify to this fact. The Accra race course(turf) is also situated on that stretch so if you have property OR know anyone that does have in this area, Chale it’s about to BLOW UP so take note!!!

The next step for the games between August and March next year is a HUGE PR AND BRAND AWARENESS campaign in Ghana and selected African Countries so EVERYONE gets to know Ghana is hosting the BIGGEST sporting event in Africa, the Olympic games of Africa, so help us God!

I would’ve loved to have been a fly around Nkrumahs era when he was using cement to do the motorway and all the other so called crazy things at the time that he did,  and what we are saying today about same edifices, fast forward 50 years!!!
