Young Ghanaian national title hopeful John Zile edges close to clinching the National Super Bantamweight strap as he faces perhaps the toughest test of his career: George Krampah in a final eliminator for the Championship held by hard-hitting Daniel Gorsh.
Krampah (14-7), a former opponent of Isaac “The Royal Storm” Dogboe is one tough customer who doesn’t know how to take a step back.
Zile ( 8-0), nicknamed “The Monster” has been itching for a showdown that would inure to him being crowned Champ; ” I’ve constantly yearned to have the national belt around my waist.
Beating Krampah would position me for the slot and I won’t allow him derail my plans “, the Banker cum Boxer asserted.
The event is put together by Eric Kpirakoh of the Anero Promotions in collaboration with Mubarak Yusif’s Safebox Boxing Promotions and would come off on Friday, June 30 at the Rex Palace in Techiman – Brong Ahafo Region : a region that has ever produced a world champion in Nana Yaw Konadu.
The bill is duly sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority whose quest to grow the sport in other territories is gradually taking shape. Mubarak Yusif who’s also the matchmaker and facilitator of the event has assured of a delectable package.
“We’ve got plans of staging another bill at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region by December”, said an enthusiastic Eric Kpirakoh; a nouveau entrant into the Ghana Boxing promotional space.
The winner of the Zile – Krampah clash is expected to vie for the national belt before the year winds up.
