. Lightweight prospect and Kurrency Boxing signee Daniel Quaye has a date with veteran Ben Ankrah aka Congo Soldier on fight night six of the Ghana Professional Boxing League.
The event which comes off at the Bukom Boxing Arena tonight is Quaye’s fourth and promises to be a real test for the youngster as Ankrah is thoroughbred who has seen it all.
Having turned professional in 2001, the Congo Soldier is a well travelled combatant who has fought at prestigious venues such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Indeed, if “High Tension “, as Daniel Quaye is called, wants to cement his world level aspirations, he must not just win against Ankrah but score a dominant and impressive win.
The stage is set and probably, a torch-passing duel could be on our hands.
