Alexander Ababio, the Chief Executive Officer of Bofoakwa Tano, has discussed the club’s successful promotion to Ghana’s top-flight league after 16 years.
He revealed plans to strengthen the squad for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
The Sunyani-based side secured their place in the premier league by prevailing 7-6 on penalties against Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Bofoakwa Tano’s qualification marks a significant milestone for the club, which experienced relegation during the 2006/2007 campaign.
The CEO expressed his delight at the achievement and shared the team’s objectives for the upcoming season in an interview with Citi Sports.
“Now, we have to get some recruitment done for the new season, we have to get about five or six players.
“We have to also beef the technical team up, we have to get a new coach, because the current coach is a license B holder, who cannot coach in the premier league.
“With all these shake-ups, I think we can survive in the Ghana Premier League.”
