The Ghana Jiu Jitsu Federation has appointed a foreign coach to catalyze the development of the sport in Ghana and make the National team a force to reckon with on the global stage.
The appointment of Daniel Earll, an Ex officer of the US Army was officially sealed when his contract was handed to him during the closing ceremony of the Greater Accra Open Combat Championships held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
A very charismatic and driven coach, Daniel Earll accepted the call to duty and expressed delight at the pool of talent available in the country. He then called on all and sundry to put all hands on deck and ensure success.
Maxwell Borquaye, President of the Federation was emphatic that the appointment would mark a turning point in their fortunes and pledged to support the team to the best of his ability.
Vice President Evans Bernie Johnson continued to call on government and corporate to avail their assistance to the body since it had the potential of empowering the youth and bringing honor to the nation. He also commended Electroland Ghana Limited for always coming to the aid of the Federation whenever the need arises.
