Ace musician, Nat Brew aka ‘Amanzeba’ has called for more financial support into Ghana Boxing in order to keep the sport alive and for Ghana to keep on producing world champions.
The international super star who was in the company of Mr. Emmanuel Quaye at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday to watch Fight Night Three of the second season of the Ghana Professional Boxing League said there are many talented boxers who feature to thrill fans every time however the support is low.
The Accra born musician who has traveled wide and written very important songs to celebrate the history of Africa, Ghana and Accra Ga Mashie noted that it is about time that corporate Ghana comes on board and not wait to be sent proposals to support or sponsor sports.
According to Nat Brew, boxing has shown the way that it is the sport that can win laurels at international games, so the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) and Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) must be supported to open more opportunities for boxers.
He commended the promoters of the Ghana Professional Boxing League and advised them to be more creative to attract sponsorship.
He was impressed with the performance of the boxers on the night and hoped that subsequent weeks would be extra exciting.
Nat Brew worked with Moses Foh Amoaning during the promotion of the Fist of Fury Boxing League Series which involved juvenile, amateur and professional bouts.
Meanwhile, Infinix Phones has been announced as the new sponsor of the Boxing League.
