The Ghana Cycling Federation has intensified its educational programs with the UCI commissaires course on top of the calendar.
Over 15 participants are currently flipping through the rigorous and cumbersome course module online.
Some of the participants includes; the Deputy Secretary General of the Ghana Cycling Federation, Joseph Kwame Addo, the Technical Director, Daniel Amoo, Equipment officer, Rudolf Mensah, and other top Federation members.
The module includes the basics of how to become a commissaire, how to organize a Road Race, how to memorize the UCI rules and regulations, the overall strategy in mastering as a commissaire.
Some participants have already surpassed the the first stage and almost completing their course.
Speaking to the Technical Director,Daniel Amoo, he was very happy and mentioned that ” this course is expensive, and having it at this time is of great honour to me”. He said.
The UCI commissaires’ course is a very expensive exercise but the Ghana Cycling Federation managed to bring it to the doorstep of members who are willing to learn.
The participants are expected to write their final exams in the coming days.
