Following the effective participation of the Ghanaian contingent at the World Boxing Organization Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico some Ghanaian boxers are set to enter the world ratings in their respective divisions and therefore be positioned for title contention.
The convention was attended by Ghana Boxing Authority President Abraham Kotei Neequaye, Trainer and Board Member Carl Lokko and Promoter Manasseh Tagoe. It must also be noted that the Ghanaian contingent were the only representatives from Africa at the convention.
The boxers to be rated include: John Abaja Laryea (Super Featherweight), Isaac Dogboe (Featherweight), Sheriff Quaye ( Lightweight) and Patrick Allotey ( Super Welterweight).
Isaac Dogboe looks likely to battle for a vacant as Emanuel Navarette , his nemesis and current title holder is set to move for a bout against Israel Valdez at Super Featherweight.
