Ghana Deaf Sports Federation (GDSF) hosts delegation of Club Sportif Des Sourds de Montpellier (CSSM) on an official working visit to Ghana.
The visit is not only to commemorate friendship but also to review aspects of Talent Identification Project due to impact of the covid pandemic. In 2019, the two organizations sealed partnership to development respective sectors in the areas of education, sign language, cultural exchange and deaf talent identification.
Discussions are ongoing with several key stakeholders including the National Sports Authority (NSA), Ministry of Youth & Sports (MOYS), Heads of Schools for the Deaf and members of the Deaf Sports community on the way forward on progress and sustainability.
Under this engagement, the 1st International Deaf Community Games will be organised under the auspices of Ghana Deaf Sports Federation (GDSF). The Deaf community in Ghana and neighbouring countries will grace the event which will be held on Saturday 29th October, 2022 in Accra.
The France delegation is making use of this opportunity to tour various historical places in Ghana as a way of contributing their quota to the development and, will be in the country until 2nd November, 2022
