The Women Sports Association of Ghana- WOSPAG have received an undisclosed amount of cash and twenty boxes of bottled water for their upcoming National Ampe event scheduled for the Accra sports stadium on the 24th of September,2022.
President of WOSPAG,Madam Joyce Mahama received the items on behalf of the Association supported by Executives, Agnes Abefi, General Secretary and Benjamin Charles Armah, Technical Director.
In her opening remarks, she mentioned the role the women’s wing are playing in Sports and further called for its recognition especially amongst the media fraternity.
Mrs.Mahama took the opportunity to explain the challenges WOSPAG is facing and how such gestures could elevate its visions in Ghana.
Mohammed Riyahd, CEO of Riyahd construction Ltd in turn, reiterated his companies’ support to WOSPAG in Future programs.
” This came at a short notice but we believe in the subsequent events, my outfit will do better to support such programs”- he said.
WOSPAG continues to be vibrant in the nurturing, Development and empowerment of young females through the power of Sports.
The centre of attraction would be at the Accra sports stadium coming this Saturday, 24th Sep,.
Ampe is a household sport practiced at almost every corner of the country mainly by females. The sport has received the green light from the international Olympic committee -IOC ,making it one of the most demanding sport in the country.
