The National Cycling Team, Golden Pedals is set to explore the Ivory Coast to participate in this year’s 28th Edition Tour Du Cote D’Ivoire, Tour De La Reconciliation scheduled from the 4th-11th September,2022 and will take place between Korhogo and Ferkessedougou.
The main event would be quickly followed by the GRAND PRIX d’ Abidjan on September 11th.
The Team comprises of Anthony Boakye captain of the side who plays his trade for River Park Brong Ahafo, Team Sky sensation Joseph Nii Quaye Amar, Mohammed Ramzy of River Park Ashanti, Emmanuel Otukornor Sackey and Benjamin Boahen Agyeman.
Crack West African Road controllers like Burkina Faso, Togo and Nigeria will showcase their strength in the Tour with foreign countries like Belgium, France and Rwanda coming through with real speed and power.
The last the Golden Pedals engaged in a similar Tour in the Ivory Coast some 5 years ago, he first ever Yellow Jersey was registered for the country. That dream team included the likes of Abdul Razak Umar, Anthony Boakye, Abdul Razak Samed amongst others.
Deputy Technical officer of the Team, is highly optimistic his charges will bring back the glory expected ” we are determined to perform in Cote D’Ivoire, we believe in the boys to deliver for mother Ghana”- he told the ultimate Sports.
The trip is being sponsored by the Ghana Cycling Federation to the Cedi tune of 10,000 to wrap up the contingents’ feeding and transportation.
The Team is bound to depart the country tomorrow dawn through Elubo into the capital beauty of Abidjan.
