Team Ghana athletics coach Leo Myles Mills has said that although Ghana has made strides in recent years, especially in the sprinting department, there’s still a long way to go.
“We have not caught up with the best yet but I’m optimistic that if our athletes keep their heads firm, focused and determined, we could witness major breakthroughs in the next few Games and championships”
The former star sprinter stated that his athletes are not getting carried away by hype and expectations.
Neither the athletes nor the coaches are getting carried away, there is still a lot of work to be done, a lot of investment and the need to put together bold strategies to ensure that the talents coming through also realize their full potential.
